If the movie Grease were to be remade, what car would make a good modern day Greased Lightning? The original was a 1948 Ford De Luxe Convertible.

A big muscle car, like one of these Mustangs. At least that’s what I’d prefer.

A Ford Explorer because of product placement. With constant adds scenes about the auto parking and the entertainment system.

Yes! I think it could have the angry, raucous attitude of the original.

It was a high school auto shop class, working with a ubiquitous cheap used car that was ~10 years old. So, maybe a 2004 Mustang or something, likely a V6, though maybe a GT. 2002 Camaro or Firebird might work.

Early 2000s Mustang convertible was my first choice, but I can totally see it being a Jetta, or a Subaru of some sort.
A Civic wouldn’t work - too small.

I could see them starting with a V6, then doing a Coyote swap or LSX swap as part of the upgrade.
